Role Responsibility
• Responsible for ongoing vulnerability management by coordinating and deploying patches and server rebuilds throughout the estate.
• Responsible for operational support and maintenance of 2,900+ servers located globally, running Microsoft Windows. This includes server builds, monitoring, configuration and ongoing maintenance of servers.
• Perform system administration duties across the environment to provide support services for customer.
• Perform system recoveries.
• Maintain server availability for all sites and periodically participate in DR exercises.
• Must have good problem solving, teamwork, communication and customer service skills.
• Resolve help desk escalations and process items in a ticket queue.
• There are no after-hours on call requirements, but the individual should remain flexible for critical situations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues and provide operations support for bridge calls.
• Participate in the implementation of Window related projects for server builds.
• Monitor servers and remediate alerts that get raised.
• Being able to follow documented processes and procedures is critical.
• English language skills & good clear communication is an absolute must.
Experience
• 5-7 years
• Windows 2008 R2, 2012 R2, 2016,
• Red Hay Enterprise Linux 5/6/7 is a plus
• Knowledge of System Center Configuration Manager and Windows Update Services
• Experience with System Center Operations Manager
• Powershell scripting is a plus.
• Server hardware (HP Proliant, Sun/Oracle)
• Conceptual knowledge of storage and networking components (TCP/IP, NFS, DNS, LDAP, FTP, NTP, Samba)
• Graduation degree preferred
