Primary Purpose
The Team Lead is responsible for assisting in the managing and implementing of IT projects of specific modules with quality, within scope and to ensure deliverables are on time and conform to processes and standards meeting customer’s requirements
Responsibilities
Project Delivery • Assist project manager to plan the project milestones and project tasks • Gathering, understand & analyse the requirements and assist in development of module technical design specification • Translate design into process/program specifications • Manage project tasks to meet schedule, cost and quality • Develop timeline for the tasks in alignment with the schedule of the overall project • Prepare test plan & test environment for System Integration Testing & User Acceptance Testing • Support the testing activities, log the test results, rectify the incidents, carry out retest till closure of incidents • Conduct code review, walkthrough & testing of programs to ensure the quality of deliverables meet the requirements and adhere to defined processes • Involved in construction of complex programs. • Prepare /review project documents meeting schedules • Assist project managers to prepare implementation and data migration checklists, • Ensure the configuration checklists/ release checklists are complete and comprehensive • Ensure the correct version of programs/files are checked in and used for Testing / Migration to production • Deliver quality outputs based on defined processes & take corrective actions when necessary • Assess service request /enhancement feasibility, effort ,schedule and risk plan • Identify & escalate risks to higher level to mitigate impact on - project delivery Customer /Vendor Management • Build rapport with the users and their technical staff and manage their expectation • Have clear and open communication with customers on project issues or clarifications Team Management • Coordinate and delegate the task to the team members • Guide team members in executing the tasks in the project • Track the team’s progress and provide updates to project manager • Work with team members to resolve problems promptly and provide effective solution
Requirement
• at least 7 years IT experience and 3 years of project management experience with ability to manage low complexity projects
• Diploma or degree in a relevant discipline
• Self-motivated with a positive “can-do” attitude, creative with excellent presentation, communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills including strong persuasive techniques.
• Ability to lead, develop and maintain respectful and trusting relationship
• Proficient in written and spoken English
