Brief Job Description

Primary Purpose

The Business Analyst is responsible to provide knowledge and expertise in the business domain, assess the client's business requirements, provide alternative solution and evaluate the viability and feasibility of possible improvements. They bridge the communication gap between the business side and the IT throughout the application development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Provide domain expertise & focus in the specific industry

• Propose alternative solutions and technologies to improve and bring about high quality system solutions

• Ensure that the resulting IT solution meets the needs of the defined business requirements

• Develop evaluation tools and techniques and contribute expertise to Project Team to ensure that system proposals are fully analysed and evaluated

• Develop technology integration strategies and plans

• Perform an analytical and technical role in requirement gathering, analysis and design and proposal of solution to meet customer’s requirements

• Gather, analyse and formalise the client's business requirements

• Facilitate preparation of test scenario and test plan
• Take the lead in UAT planning and advise users on how to conduct
• Evaluate UAT result and follow up on UAT incident resolution
• Review of major deliverables
• Ensure the work done by TL, SA and developer are met with the business requirement and design accepted by the customer
• Assist PM to prepare the status report and submit to customer

Requirement

•At least 7 years of software development experience (including requirements gathering and technical design) & preferably strong knowledge of one industry domain

•Familiar with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

•Ability to produce specifications for documentations and implementations

•Experience in IT business analysis techniques

•Degree Holder

•Self-motivated with a positive “can-do” attitude, creative with excellent presentation, communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills including strong persuasive techniques.

•Ability to lead, develop and maintain respectful and trusting relationship;

•Proficient in written and spoken English

•Able to travel as required
