UCS/Server L2 is responsible for support of the IT Hardware/Software infrastructure for our customer. This includes evaluation, installation, deployment, and maintenance of the IT infrastructure for the data centers .
Key responsibilities
- Manage end to end existing UCS, VMware infrastructure and Windows
Environments
- Build, and install VMware servers based on requirements from Design
and Architecture standards.
- Oversee multiple different virtual farms with over 20 hosts and 800
virtual machines
- Work on server hardening and security related issues
- Building of physical host servers and UCS blade servers
- Provide VMware reports
- Configure, deploy, manage and troubleshoot Servers and Virtual Machines.
- Perform P2V, v2v migration using VMware
- Design, configure and maintenance of Windows Clusters on ESXi 6.5 nodes.
- Deployment and support of VMware vSphere ESXi 6.5
- Responsible for the management of servers and duties include regular and
proactive monitoring of servers, responding the alerts.
- Work on Central Management Server (VCenter Server) to manage all the ESX
hosts in the datacenter.
- Analyzing the VM-support logs for ESX servers and Virtual Center
logs to diagnose the root cause for the problem.
- Must be experienced and proficient in Cisco UCS Deployments,
troubleshooting, node health checks, load balancing, etc.
- Provide Health Check analysis of a client’s environment, including
formal documentation of findings to be presented to the customer.
Qualifications
Experience
Min of 5-7 years of exp.
Skills
In-depth hands-on experience VMware and windows servers
In-depth experience with enterprise class virtualization technologies
Deploy patches on windows servers
Strong technical analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Must have experience in system monitoring techniques .
Knowledgeable in server end SAN/NAS configuration and troubleshooting.
Ability to analyze, troubleshoot and solve issues
Ensure that all of Preventive maintenance are done as per plan.
Provided weekly and monthly report to our department for projects. .
