·         To support Shell Firewall operations.

·         Analyzing and Implementing firewall and proxy change requests

·         Isolate and troubleshoot security issues independently.

·         Supporting  Firewall/Proxy installation, upgrade and Decommissioning.

·         Understanding the present infrastructure and performing risk assessments.

·         Managing PELM (PAC exception list management)

·         Ensuring timely and quality resolution of all the firewall/proxy requests logged

Experience level: Min 6+ yrs of experience

General requirements

The person in this position will provide 15*5 support to Shell by managing devices like Checkpoint NGX R65,R75, R77 Firewalls (SPLAT/Gaia), Zscaler, ISA/Bluecoat Proxies (server 2006/ ProxySG S200-30) and PELM (PAC exception list management).

The candidate should be able to  analyse client requirements and prepare technical implementation plans. The candidate must have strong hands on experience on Checkpoint firewall technologies, Bluecoat Proxies and basic understanding of networks. Additionally the candidate should have experience  of LAN /WAN environments, exposure to Palo Alto firewalls and Zscaler. The candidate must have strong working knowledge and experience with: TCP/IP, Checkpoint R77 GAIA technologies, TCP dump/FW monitor, NATing, Proxy,  basic network skills (CCNA) and change management process.

The candidate must have skills to handle troubleshooting calls independently.

The candidate must demonstrate excellent communication skills and outstanding problem solving ability.

The candidate has to be task oriented, manage multiple issues concurrently and maintain a focus on results while thinking like a customer.
